"The entry gives a sense of the broad range of topics covered on this public affairs program which airs daily M-F on public radio KQED in San Francisco. We include a program on why people don't vote (from city hall), a state-wide broadcast on Health Care, a broadcast from Rwanda, AIDS and Profit Politics and an interview with famed physicist Murray Gell Mann. The program covers- rather extensively and with true depth- international, national, state and local matters of concern and public interest and interviews a host of people in all sciences, news making areas of many stripes-all programming passionately dedicated to higher discourse and high quality in radio broadcasting."--1994 Peabody Awards entry form.
